Aug. 26th, 2017 09:22 pmCharacter name: Clarissant of Orkney and Lothian
Canon: Arthuriana, no one specific source. Drawing heavily on Cheretian de Troyes, but also throwing out anything from him that doesn't work for me. A bit heavy on the Wolfram Von Eschenbach, and the Pearl Poet. Strong strains of Elizabeth Wein and some Mary Stewert. Also some Gerald Morris. T.H. White's Book of Merlin and The Sword in the Stone are big influences on my id, but I've spent basically my whole Arthuriana fan life In A Fight with The Once and Future King. Arthur, King of Time and Space is the best Arthurian webcomic but doesn't have a lot of push on Clar, seeing as how she doesn't exist in it. Tennyson and I Do Not Speak.
Gender: Woman
Age: Ambiguous. Somewhere between eighteen and forty, depending.
Writing style: Prose, present tense, usually. Please do whatever is most comfortable for you.
Medium preference: Dreamwidth
Smut?: No, thank you.
Smut preferences: N/A
Romance?: Sure.
Romance preferences: Clarissant is definitely not into men. I as the mun am not at all offended if men try and flirt with her! They're getting turned down tho. No siblings or other close familial relationship incest please.
Injury?: Probably. Talk to me about it.
Injury limitations: Case by case – please discuss with me.
Other preferences: Backtagging is encouraged, threadjacking is acceptable within reasonable limits, the fourthwall may be highlighted, broken, or merely referred to with plausible deniability.
Notes: While I'm open to shipping I really really really like gen! So please don't feel romance is at all a required element. I'm also pretty flexible with this character (although she herself is not actually all that flexible) and willing to play around with setting and scenario quite a bit!
